Collage of photographs and documents about bowling alleys in Washington, Indiana. Washington Bowling Alleys on Maysville Road on the west side of Washington, Indiana was owned and operated by Adolph S. "Ole" Olsen (1917-1959) and his wife, Jeanette A. "Jean" (Batt) Olsen (1919-1987). In 1946 Mr. & Mrs. Olsen purchased the Washington Bowling Alleys on the east side of Washington at S.E. 2nd and South Streets. The east side bowling alley later became Laurel Lanes. In 2024 Carol M. Olsen, the daughter-in-law of Mr. & Mrs. Ole and Jean Olsen, authorized the Daviess County Museum to scan this item into the Museum's collection. |
