Article in the August 26, 1975 edition of the Valley Advance newspaper about the 1975 archaeological excavation of Prairie Creek about three miles north of Washington, Indiana conducted by Dr. Patrick J. Munson and a team of students from Indiana University. Fifteen strata were segregated at the site and bones of several extinct animals were uncovered as well as evidence of human habitation from 8,000 to 10,000 B.C.
